Prayer for Compassion

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the gift of compassion and the ability to care for others with kindness and understanding. Shape the heart to be gentle, patient, and aware of the needs around it.

Open the eyes to recognize when someone is hurting, struggling, or in need of encouragement. Help responses be thoughtful and words be filled with grace.

Remove indifference and replace it with empathy. Let compassion guide interactions, decisions, and everyday moments. Teach patience with others.

Strengthen the desire to help where help is needed and to offer encouragement where hope feels distant. Let kindness be extended freely and sincerely.

Thank You for the example of compassion that is shown through love, mercy, and forgiveness. May compassion remain steady and present in every season.
